Hanneli/White Jeans Update
Hanneli Mustaparta. Love her. Somehow she’s managed to make the three main things I’m pondering/planning for Autumn look effortlessly amazing.
Long bob, pastel chunky knit & light jeans: tick, tick, tick.
The pastel knit won’t be too hard to master, I just need to find the right shade and fit. The one Hanneli is wearing is from Stine Goya, but I’m sure it’s long gone by now (this pic was taken on the streets of NYC in December last year).
The hair and jeans, however, are another matter.
After almost a decade of longish to very long hair, I feel the time has come to make a change. Everywhere I go, girls seems to sport the same long hair look. Their lengthy locks are either piled up high on the head in a slightly messy topknot or bun, our worn out with very deliberate GHD flicks expertly worked through the ends. Scan the room next time you’re out, there’s an army of us all presenting the same look. Plus I really dislike the attachment factor one develops after years of long hair. I’m feeling that if I don’t change it up now I’ll end up like Brigitte Bardot, in my 70′s, stuck on the same style I had some 40 years before. I know it needs to be done, now I just have to actually do it, which of course is the hard part.
And as for the white jeans, well, that will just take a whole lot of discipline on the food & fitness front – an area I haven’t had to pay much attention to for (almost) 9 months. Let’s hope it won’t be as hard as I think.
I’ll keep you all posted . . .
