White Jeans
New Year’s Resolution #1: I will attempt to wear white jeans at some point this year. This style objective also incorporates the wider goal to whip my sorry, soon-to-be post-baby body into some semblance of its former form, but for now we’ll focus on the jeans (far less daunting).
The white jean is a fickle fashion mistress. Just a few styling mistakes will see them quickly slide into tacky territory, à la Katie Price and vintage Victoria Beckham. But when done well, they look so right. So fresh, chic & clean.
To ensure a fail-safe foray into this classic closet staple, simply take styling cues from the collection of pics below. You will see that all you really need is a great cut for your shape, a slouchy shirt or tee, a belt and a pair of statement shoes. Above all, remember to keep it simple – a relaxed, fuss-free approach is best.
Please note: it must be acknowledged that a fabulous set of legs helps enormously with white jean success, and on this topic I highly recommend you take a squiz at this GOOP newsletter from 2010.
